Upcoming Training Sessions:
April 24: Interpersonal Communication and Boundaries
Volunteering means that you give your time and energy to a cause that you believe in. It can be difficult to say “no” when you are being pulled in many different directions. It can be a challenge to communicate your needs as a volunteer. Please join Holly Flower, MFRC Social Worker, for a lively discussion that will support your own journey as a volunteer.
May 29: Making the most of your team!
As a volunteer, you are a part of a team at the MFRC. You might want to know about how to work more effectively with people in that team environment. Dr. Sang Nam, Associate Professor of Management at UVic’s School of Business, will talk about motivation, leadership, teamwork and conflict management when it comes to teams. This subject matter is applicable to your volunteer role, your job and your personal life!
