Learning from Home

Many families are supporting their children in the process of learning at home, some for the first time! One of the most important things parents and caregivers can do at this time is to manage their expectations. It’s important to recognize that meaningful and effective learning at home does not have to replicate the classroom experience. In fact, some of a child’s best learning will happen as they connect with you while taking a walk through the woods, or by sitting and reading a book with another family member. Interactive board games, folding laundry, and cooking together all provide opportunities for learning and growing.
