Mailing Information for Ships

Source: Community | April 2, 2020

Dear families and friends of Brandon, Calgary and Regina,

As some of you expressed desire to send care packages to your loved ones on board we have made arrangements with the Fleet Mail Office in order to provide you an opportunity to do so. In keeping with current physical distancing as well as handling of packages we have consulted with the medical team to ensure this was safe to do so. I would like to first remind you of the package guideline that is to be followed as is the norm as far as content and size, please consult with the MFRC care package guidelines.

As for CoVID-19 precautions, no packages should be prepared by anyone (or in the household of anyone) who has confirmed or presumed CoVID-19 or active cold/flu symptoms. While the exact length of time the virus can survive on all surfaces is not clearly determined, the risk is considered very low. To mitigate this, the packages will remain sequestered for a minimum of 72hrs before packages are handled by the crew.

Finally, family, and anyone handling the packages, should practice meticulous hand hygiene to mitigate risk.

Care Packages Drop Off Schedule:

Canex Parking Lot (by Naden main gate)
Thursday April 2nd from 1-3pm
Friday April 3rd from 8-9:45am
Saturday April 4th from 10am-Noon

Note: When dropping off packages, please be mindful of others also dropping off and keep physical distance.
