Donation for Play Therapy
Members of the Vancouver Island Charity Riders (VICR) dropped by the Colwood Pacific Activity Centre MFRC on Friday September 15th to bring a donation of $1,000 for play therapy equipment and supplies. VICR is a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who are dedicated to raising money for local charities and individual children in need. Over the last eight years, they have raised and distributed over $80,000 to children in our communities!
VICR members also want to support military families and members of the Canadian Armed Forces. At the Esquimalt MFRC, we have staff that assist children dealing with stress or anxiety due to the military lifestyle. In the coming year, we will be providing enhanced support for children thanks in part to donations like this one.
