Free Help with School
Funded by Rogers Communications, the MFRC is offering an academic tutoring program to help military-connected children with the academic challenges associated with living the military lifestyle.
Homework Support Groups
Qualified mentors and tutors will provide students with the support they need to be successful in their academic life. These homework support groups are available for children in Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12. Dates are to be determined and the location will likely be the Colwood Pacific Activity Centre.
**Group placement and session times are subject to change depending on area of study help requested as well as demand. Some private sessions may also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tutoring Assistance Fund
Families can get reimbursed for the cost of tutoring by applying to the tutoring assistance fund. This program is open and available to all military teens for the 2019-2020 academic school year. Funds are limited so applications will be assessed and awarded based on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to youth in grades 9 through 12.
